Temporal Pleasures
Why opt for temporal pleasures that could end up in destruction
Have we ever wondered why it is stressed in some scriptures: fornication and adultery?
They are discussed side by side because they almost mean the same thing (Gal 5:19 & Matthew 15:19).
Not only do these two cause distraction in the physical state, they also destroy.
1 Corithians 10:8 warns thus : “neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed and fell in one day, 32, 000”.
Our bodies indeed are a vessel unto honour and a temple of the most high:
“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication [adultery]. That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour”.
Once our bodies have been merged with who we are not married to, a bond has been created. Temporal pleasures like sex [and other things that could lead to it] with one who is not your partner creates an interlocking which has its effect in the long run.
Does one deliberately thrust his hands into a frying pan of hot oil?
Not when one is fully awake, then why land into something that can destroy you with both eyes opened.
He has asked us to abstain from every appearance of evil..
I urge you to do same today and if you have been in this
Your time of release is NOW….you wouldn’t miss it
He is a merciful and faithful who hears when his children call and am confident he would hear you today....thanks you G….
